Hi, I’m Sangary — the heart and hands behind Sangary Sarangan, a space where I share soulful recipes, kitchen reflections, and bits of life from both Ireland and Malaysia.

I was born in Malaysia and now live in the quiet charm of Ireland. Since then, I started this blog to reconnect with my roots, preserve treasured family recipes, and celebrate the mindful joy of cooking. As I continue this journey, my hope is to build a community that cherishes the aroma of home, the warmth of heritage, and the magic of simple meals. Whether you’re here to learn, share, or just browse, I’m truly glad our paths crossed.

During a long career break, I pursued a Master’s degree, navigated life between countries, and embraced motherhood fully. Meanwhile, I simultaneously started my business Sampradas. During those years, though challenging, founding Sampradas helped me identify my passion — storytelling through food.

Cooking became my way of staying grounded. It gave me confidence, joy, and a creative outlet. That’s what led me here — to share what I’ve learned, loved, and lived through recipes and reflections.

Food is more than just nourishment for me. There are stories behind every food. While some food holds precious memories. It brings people together. This blog blends quick everyday meals, comfort food, and traditional recipes — each one carrying a bit of my culture, a sprinkle of healing, and a whole lot of heart.

Whether it’s a spicy stir-fry from my childhood or a new dish tested with my kids, every recipe has a story behind it. My hope is to make this space feel like home for anyone who believes food can heal, connect, and comfort.
